Everyone is excited to see Kim Soohyun back on the small screen. tvN’s ‘It’s Okay Ro Be Not Okay’ is a refreshing healing love drama that will be premiered on June 20 at 9 p.m. KST and will be Sohyun’s comeback drama after his military service. Read below on what you should watch out for.
It’s Okay To Be Not Okay’s Korean title is 사이코지만 괜찮아 which directly translates to ‘Psycho but it’s okay’. It gives you a glimpse of how the characters struggle understanding people even themselves. Kim Soohyun will play as Moon Kang Tae who works in a Psychiatric Ward who always interacts and gets entangled with the patients. But the more intriguing is how Kang Tae will handle his life alongside his older brother who has autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Fans are excited about how Soohyun and Oh Jungsae will show their brotherly love in this drama. Expect some funny scenes especially with Jungsae who is known for playing comedic roles in Touch Your Heart, When Camellia Blooms, and more.
Kang Tae is a heartbroken man who had experienced a lot of hardships. He is cold to people except for his brother. Soohyun here will portray a man who doesn’t show his innermost feelings. A lot of people think he is okay because he looks fine, but when he is alone he breakdown in living a dreamless and hopeless life.
Kim Soo Hyun said, “Moon Kang Tae is a heartbroken character. Just like most people, he is strong and shrewd in front of others, but he becomes disarmed and vulnerable when he is alone. He may seem fine, but he’s actually always tired of the burden he carries. I think there is a Moon Kang Tae out there somewhere.”
He will later meet a children’s storybook writer named Moonyoung, played by Seo Yeji, who has an antisocial personality disorder. They both don’t believe in love and both not great in interacting with people. When they first met, they had bad impressions of one another. Watch out on how they will open up to one another and heal their hearts.
